
Last year the sun shone brightly for our army of BIG Spring Cleaners as they got active and did something amazing by serving the community. There were more students than ever who gave their time and abilities to help make the local community a cleaner environment. Over 80 volunteers joined the BIG Spring Clean in 13 projects over two days on 25 & 27 February 2009. Read more in the offical press release Overall the local Community got a BIG spring clean; from youth clubs to elderly residences, schools to streets and even a community farm! Our regular Community Action volunteers were joined by a large number of Students’ Union clubs and societies including; Men’s & Women’s Basketball, Men’s Rugby, Lacrosse, Fencing, Ladies Hockey, Women’s Football, Balads, MTS and Drama.
