Regulation may distract healthcare professionals from good patient care:
Research conducted by the School of Management, Royal Holloway, University of London and King’s College London has found that regulation may distract NHS professionals and organisations from providing safe and effective patient care. The research suggests that the future regulation of psychotherapists and counsellors by the Health Professions Council must avoid having the same effect. The study was funded by the General Medical Council and the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) Public Services Programme.
Holocaust experts feature in TV documentary:
A killing squad set up to implement Hitler’s Final Solution, the Einsatzgruppen embarked on a murderous two year spree, carrying out some of the most horrific events of the Holocaust. ‘Nazi Death Squads’, broadcast on the National Geographic Channel on 25 October at 9pm, will investigate the squad’s deadly campaign, and features expert commentaries from Professor David Cesarani and Professor Peter Longerich, of the Department of History and the School of Modern Languages respectively at Royal Holloway, University of London.
